An intriguing little dramady that explores boundaries in more ways than one. The show has a lot to say, and it says so very wittily and with superb acting - and without battering the audience over the head with the message stick.... full review

After years of Bob reviewing my shows, I'm honored to return the favor. Bob's been a fixture of the Hollywood Fringe scene since the beginning. A true patron of the arts. Now, he can count himself amongst the performers, with his lovely solo show. Bravo, sir!... full review

Orangutan

ben moroski · June 09, 2019 certified reviewer
A primally urgent and wildly intelligent play for our moment. Troy Deutsch's "Orangutan" could have easily found itself trapped in the echo chamber of a one-joke premise. Instead, it resounds with the poisonously barbed comedy of Edward St. Aubyn's Patrick Melrose novels and the savage, philosophical gymnastics of Edward Albee. Horror, humor and rage -- a wild ride reminiscent of Ellen Burstyn's Sara Goldfarb in "Requiem for a Dream" -- brought to vivid life by Kristina Mueller's electric perform... full review

The Journey of The Little Prince

This show and its message are important. A reminder of why we are all artists in the first place, you know? I think those who are not artists forget the things that this story remind us are important- which is why I am so glad that this production is being done during Fringe. The writing, design, acting, and overall storytelling were great. This show is a must see. Thank you all for sharing this story. ... full review

There is something very special about a show when you know and can tell that someone has poured their heart and soul into it. This show was one of those experiences. This show had comedy, spectacle, ass-kicking, but most importantly heart. Whether you are a fan of superheroes or not (but why wouldn't you be?), do yourself a favor and see Tattered Capes. You won't regret it. ... full review

FERTILE.

Ms. Downing has a genuine talent for bringing characters to life in this solo show. Her energy, physicality and center shifts to embody a variety of characters, from the slightly [maybe completely] mysoginistic doctors her character Jenny and husband Matt encounter on their quest to get pregnant to the delightful older woman next door to the new age acupuncturist who promises to access angel babies - the show seems to cover it all.... full review
