Klingon Tamburlaine

What the shit did I just watch? I wasn't quite sure what to expect walking in there because I'm not a trekkie, nor do I geek out on classical theater. How can I best describe my experience: from the first ominous epic drum beat, the production grabbed me by my hair, dragged me all over the solar system, and screamed at me a lot. I experienced this at a lovely fringe discount. I would pay full price.... full review

Four Clowns Presents: Shakedown at the Dusty Spur!

shane rothman · June 10, 2019 certified reviewer
Four Clowns has done it again! I haven’t seen any of their work in a couple of years, but I’m glad they’re back! They brought their hilarious style back to the Fringe, and absolutely shatter the fourth wall. If you like comedy, go. If you like improv and audience interaction, go. If you like Westerns, giddy up and go! ... full review

Naked Man Rising

I thought I was going to be uncomfortable at this show, but as the story progresses you really feel the pain this character is in and his struggles. A very moving piece and Kyles performance was outstanding! So very impressed! ... full review

VIRGIN

I am pissed!!!! After going to see Virgin my side is hurting from laughing so hard!!! I may have to go to the hospital! Oh and arm hurts too because I kept falling out of my seat. Berg is a hilarious fresh voice in the theatre. I am so afraid Hollywood is going to see this play and steal Berg away. But then again it maybe safer for my health. ... full review

Start Swimming

chambers stevens · June 09, 2019 certified reviewer
So many shows at the Fringe are exactly the same. Parodies of popular culture. Start Swimming is unlike anything else out there. It is experimental without being pretentious. It asks the questions of where do we fit in the world. Fiallos does this with such creativity and humor. You can't guess what is going to happen next. The whole experience was bold and brave. ... full review

The Living Room

The Living Room is one of my favorite shows. Amrita and Gemma are so surprisingly silly in this piece, and they constantly look to play with the audience. This show stands out among clown shows because it not only makes you laugh a lot but also makes you deal with more profound emotions, and you share these emotions with everyone, including the performers. ... full review

All Our Pretty Songs

The team of John Brahan and Dan Schultz won the Fight the Power award last year. I saw that play and I really liked it. But All Our Pretty Songs is a big leap up. Both Brahan's writing and Schultz direction have matured and grown in exciting ways. And the addition of a third partner, Shanlie Phillips really adds a great element to their work. ... full review
