Pure storytellers are a rare breed, and Dandy Darkly is one of the best, reminiscent of one of my favorites from the Renaissance Faire, the late Mark Lewis. He has won countless awards from fringes worldwide, and he showed why during this non-stop southern gothic tale. He controlled the audience from start to finish, keeping them engaged and entranced in every word he spoke. This show was truly a treat....

Self-aware and hilarious, with a big heart. Daly is painfully aware of the over-saturation of super hero films, the cliches and tropes, and the classic journey of our hero. He takes this self-awareness and creates an insanely funny send-up of this tired genre....

For me this was a niche-market play - because of the fantasy element of it - and I think a lot of people may not have come to see it simply because they really didn't know what it was going to be about, which is a pity because it was well-worth seeing. I enjoyed it thoroughly - great writing and superb acting.

Very funny and entertaining! Clever songs and jokes based mostly on fictional stories and characters. A great variety show that packs a lot -- musical numbers, comedy and Sesame-Street-style puppetry -- into a half-hour....

A fantastical, thought-provoking piece. An exploration of some of the harder questions we sometimes choose to ignore concerning the American justice system. The play bobs and weaves between strikingly theatrical movement, and then gorgeously written dialogue. A treat for any theatre lovers out there....

I expected this show to be a ridiculous romp, and while it delivered on that expectation, it also showed a softer, genuine side that was unexpected and heartwarming. It caters to a kind of niche audience, but works very well for those it it. If you enjoy Harry Potter, fan fiction, or quirky coming of age stories this show is for you. ...

WOW!!! Aeirform Arts have stepped it up about a billion notches since last year's fringe. If they agree to do an extra encore show DO NOT MISS THIS!!!!
I can't believe this was a fringe show, the production value of this was out of this world, to see this calibre of theatre, in this beautiful venue, with such talented artists, would involve a trip to the Royal Ballet and spending at least 4 x more that a fringe festival ticket.
Such exquisite execution of moving storytelling fused with br...

This is one of the best pieces of theater I've seen in recent years. Doug Harvey somehow completes the feat of masterfully telling an ambitious story of space, time, love, and the end by single handedly keeping the audience on the edge of their seat. Peering into his creative mind and sharing in his tale reminds me why I love theater - it's a moment of connection you just can't fully explain. Through Jake Elitzer's empathetic and meticulous direction, this show takes you on a wild ride through th...

As someone who read "Little Women" as a child, I really liked watching this play for the ways the story "explained" the parts of the book's plot that bothered me when I was a kid. It was a very enjoyable experience!...

This show is a gem. Not only did it have me laughing; it had me moved and considering my place and what I can do for those facing persecution today. Rachel shares so much of herself and so much of what we never learned about Anne Frank thanks for some major editing by her loving father. Lauren has done a wonderful job directing the production. Brava and thank you to the whole team! ...
