How old was I when saw the best show at Hollywood Fringe Festival I’ve ever seen? I was today years old. Ayo Majek’s “Girl From Schenectady“ is too good of a show to be just running In Fringe. It should be running Off-Broadway in NYC. Wonderful writing, extremely well Directed and, most of all incredibly well-acted. An emotionally candid entertaining flight of delight. Extended this week. Go see it - for realz. 👍🏻👍🏻...

Victoria is relatable and invites the audience into a small slice of her life growing up in LA. I loved how I could relate to the moments of young adulthood that she told us about (boys, high school). Hopefully I’ll get to see Victoria perform again!...

I just adored this show. It's hard to put into words how fantastically effective the performances, staging and writing all are... that's why we should just leave the writing to Louisa. Hilary Kelman's acting is so poignantly thoughtful... presenting a full realization of Louisa through all her struggles and achievements. Every word, gesture and thought are absolutely authentic. The rest of the cast is just as wonderfully on point, interpreting parts of the script with wonderful anachronistic quir...

In revealing the earnestness beneath the apparent absurdity of two highly disparaged pop culture communities (fan fiction and goth 'culture'), 'Sunbathe in Darkness' is able to both lampoon and elevate its subject matter, using the desire to laugh as a way to disarm the audience while delivering a powerful and contrasting moment of trauma....
