Paced to the rhythm of Stephen Colbert(?)’s ironic voice, this play immediately pulls you into its wiggy town and wayward citizens, three of whom claim to be the mayor. An astonishing cast delivers Pamela Quinn Eberhardt’s tight script with everything required from stupidity to slovenliness to ennui. Bad things happen ... in the most hilarious way possible. A 15 year quest by Eberhardt to wrestle onto the boards, this adaptation of the Stephen Colbert-Amy Sedaris-Paul Dinello novel deserves a ... full review

A wonderfully written and brilliantly acted tour-de-force! This is everything a one-person show should be... the audience instantly engaged with the performer, the story was well-structured and the audience was happy to go along on the adventure. I am so thrilled I got to see this show. Ayo Majek created an intimate journey that was not just fun to watch, but the twists and turns were unexpected and tugged at the heartstrings more than once. The direction was pinpoint perfect, and created an enti... full review

A very entertaining and thought-provoking play. I was challenged to pay attention and really think about each character and their purpose. Each had a specificity to the story line that I found to be really interesting to figure out. The characters one-by-one were unique and memorable. As they connected and disconnected from another throughout the play, it made for an interestingly developing plot. I enjoyed watching the characters try to understand their existences while I myself was trying to un... full review

My favorite play of the fringe season so far! The story pulls you in right from the start and the acting is superb. The characters are very well developed, and I like how the play unfolds over a long period of time. It covers a lot of themes like religion, helicopter parenting, homosexuality, politics, and drug addiction. It has serious moments but very funny ones too. I highly recommend it.... full review

I loved this play although it made me sad for the main character, Jin Hi. She idolizes her father, but he couldn’t care less about her. Her mother is mean and is always calling her stupid and useless. She tries hard to be a good daughter, but the bar is impossibly high. She never gets credit for all the things she does correctly, and she feels isolated and alone. It’s not just normal teenage angst, she is completely controlled by her overbearing mom and the Korean culture. School sucks, hom... full review
