I loved the show. It worked so well within the confines of what Hollywood Fringe is and played unbelievably well to the audiences that are watching it. All of the references were perfect for the 20-somethings audience and the actors handled the humor of the piece exceptionally. The writing was clever and struck a really nice balance between humor and grounded family drama.
The piece feels like a clever and relevant gothic semi-spin off of the Harry Potter stories, very different but still simil...

In this honest and powerful look at what it looks like for a woman to BECOME "Mommy," April brings poetic writing, filled with love, and play, and loss to life in an incredibly vivid way. Kudos!...

"No Joke" was a powerful statement about the current status of our country. It's a direct reflection of us as Americans. We can empathize, and feel bad...but we'll never truly understand what it means to be an immigrant in this country.
In the first half of "No Joke," we meet Sofia, a DACA recipient who's currently being held in a detention camp due to our poorly executed system. Because of the United States' disorganization. Sofia faces the threat of deportation to Mexico, a country...

Masterfully staged and yes, a very, VERY funny jab at the (sometimes) overly self-indulgent solo theatre performers and the hell that actors put stage managers through - but it's a lot more than that. A lot more. ...

Chrissy's victory over drugs was inspiring and informative, and I am glad I got the chance to see it. This was my first encounter with a former meth addict, and her story was truly enlightening. I also enjoyed it when she sang, and would have loved to hear more of that. ...

April Wish has an amazing way of looking at life, and she conveys that sweetness in her show. Putting a burgeoning career on hold to create a family may sound like a bad idea, but Wish showed us that it can be very rewarding. Being a parent of three and a grandparent of 13, I could totally relate to what it takes to parent, especially those times where your partner is nowhere to be found. It can be a stressing time, but she showed us the rewards of putting our children first. ...

An amazing look at 'widowhood' - both gut wrenching at times, and a look at the humerous aspects of the experiences and frustrations of 'the loss.' The stories of all the widows were well crafted and much personal insight and pain could be felt through all of them from Marianne's performance....

I immediately fell in love with Katie Oliver the second she appeared on stage. This two hander handles the serious question of choice – whether you go the “safe” route or go out on a limb and follow your heart. We won’t tell you what she choice, but the journey to that decision is what drives the show. Hats off also to Dingani Beza, who proved to be a worthy companion on this fun ride....

This is the standard Fringe shows should be at. Two beautiful scripts showcasing two very different directions of a feeling we all experience- guilt. The exploration of such a feared feeling was so incredible in the writing and acting of it. It will have you holding your breath, or laughing with characters or fearing the truth of humanity that it holds. One of my favourites in Fringe this year. ...

This mashup of SNL and the wizarding world I have to say is one of the most underrated shows at the Fringe Festival this year. I didn't grow up with "emo or the goth" lifestyle but this was one of my favourite shows at the Fringe so far. I've seen a number of Fringe shows making fun of others but the beauty of this troupe is that they made a satire but didn't take themselves too seriously while doing it. (Which I think is the key to a good satire). You must see this show. ...
