Human Fountains

TL;DR - (9.5/10) This is probably the funniest act I've seen in a while, and certainly the most unique stage act I've ever seen. I came into the show having seen the Human Fountains on AGT, and was a bit worried that I was walking into a 60 minute extension of that. From the opening scene it is clear that isn't the case. The humor is profoundly absurd, the acting is excellent, and, while the show is built up of sketches that can certainly stand on their own, the Human Fountains clearly put a ... full review

I started following these guys on AGT... it was the weirdest thing I had ever seen but couldn’t wait to see what they’d do next. When I heard they’d be doing a Fringe performance I couldn’t imagine how they turn it into an hour-long show, but what they did was ingenious! Telling a story, engaging the audience, keeping everyone wanting more, all with zero words and a gross amount of spit and water... you can’t make this stuff up (and yet somehow they did). ... full review

How I Became A Superhero

This show is a grand ol' good time. It was fun from start to finish and I left the theatre feeling pleased I had seen it. It's not meant to be super *****deep***** and I appreciated that. Also, that actor Jessica (I think that's her name) is so charming and likable on-stage and I love her character work. Should I steal it for my own show? Mwuahahah we shall never know >:)... full review

Such a great comedy! Very well interpreted by both actors - Monika and Sandro, who have amazing chemistry together. Monika's charming accent and her natural style of old Hollywood takes you instantly back to the time in which the play was set, and Sandro is both hilarious and extremely convincing in the role of a husband who is fighting temptation. Monika and Sandro both take turns stealing the show, and it is a thrill to watch!... full review

Brett is the kind of guy who I could watch read nutrition facts off of cereal boxes and I'd still be enthralled. He has such a natural, comfortable presence on-stage that you don't even feel like you're watching a show.... full review

"Tribal acting" is new to me, and it made the story of a search for a new star resonate on a physical level. The actors did wonderful work incorporating this style while maintaining connection to the text and audience. ... full review

Nostalgic in every way. This show reminded me of navigating college while coming out. An exploration of identity and sexuality which brought laughter, sadness and surreal moments into the experience. I enjoyed every moment of this play as it kept me on my seat and fully engaged. ... full review

Inspired by Dante’s Inferno and adapted from the graphic novel by Zach Beckert, the stage version was written by Melissa Ordaz, with musical score composed by Matt Ordaz. Maggie Dorfman and John Michael Logie were magical in the lead roles, taking us through every emotion available to lead us to the goal. ... full review

REVENGE OF THE ROOTBEER: The Sequel To Night Of The Rootbeer

Michael Shaw Fisher is anything but stupid. Last year he regaled us with the insanely stupid Night of the Root Beer, the show everyone loves to hate. This year he has created a sequel that is every bit as bad, and the audiences loves it even more. DISCLAIMER: No actors were (apparently) harmed in the production of this show. The world is safe until next year . . . or is it?... full review

Lincoln 2020

Lincoln 2020 is a wildly entertaining piece of poignant theatre. The structure does lend itself more to film than stage but usually that results in losing our attention or taking us out of the piece- and I was all in for the entire ride! Holiday Kinard peppers in these wonderful little moments that give us worlds of backstory in a single sentence, elevating this outrageous comedy to something unexpectedly heartfelt.... full review

What a great show! Kate is so funny, warm, honest, insightful. She takes you from her mom and crazy upbringing, all the way through her marriage that found it's way to polyamory. What's not to love. She is only in town for one more night, so if you can catch it, do!... full review

This show lifted physical theater to an entirely new level. Now pared down to three performers (Benjamin Tillis, Sam Kaufman and Joel Lowinger), they wasted no time to wowing the audience with their “human interpretation of the Bellagio fountains in Vegas.” The show was magical from start to finish, and told with amazing music and absolutely no words.... full review
