This show made me laugh and cry repeatedly, and for this reason moved me deeply which is ultimately the goal of great theater. It made me remember my love for theater. The artists were complex and showed many sides of the man and women, the grace, joy, maturity, strength, passion, sensuality and beauty was all part of it. The show was so good that I have to go and see it two times in one weekend. Earth & Fire Walking was able to capture the spirit of the Argentine people and its culture and this ...

It's obvious from the start that Rachel grew up identifying with Anne Frank, as do many of us who read her book and tried to imagine what her life must have been like in those cramped quarters for two years, her teen years taken from her. Her heartfelt tales often resulted in tears, both from her and audience members deeply affected by her stories, projections, and bitter realities of how hard life can be. Most importantly, I walked away remembering "do not let grief rule your life," and that as...

A vibrant, kaleidoscopic revisitation of a classic. Tackling Aristophanes is always a challenge, but the ensemble makes the devised work feel fresh, and it's amazing how much of the original text feels like it could have been written yesterday amidst our current political insanity. The ensemble and the director have made some great choices to keep the pace moving and avoid getting the material mired in the pacing issues that the Greek comedies sometimes wrestle with. A fantastic hour of thea...

The Robot Teammate shows are always a blast, and this one's no exception. Their troupe is comprised of nothing but seriously talented writers, performers, and songsmithers who work extremely hard to provide a quality product every time they work together. They all come from an improv background, so even when scripted, their shows always feel spontaneous, and their performances malleable to that particular evening. As a friend of the group, I am a touch biased, but there is a reason I always go to...

What a entertaining show with a hero to cheer and villains to boo, all in the spirit of good clean fun. The ensuing rowdiness added to The Four Clowns style of playing so over-the-top that you cannot help but play along with them, especially when asked to "Remain Calm" through song....

Gregory Crafts and Theatre Unleashed production of "Tattered Capes" brings homage to prevalent and popular Marvel and DC Comic superhero films in a fresh, funny, and poignant new work after last year’s award-winning equally loving send up to the classic action heist, "A Very DIE HARD Christmas."
While celebrating their wedding anniversary, Kevin (Travis Joe Dixon) and Stephanie's (Joanna Mercedes) date is spoiled by a supervillain attack, resulting in the unmasking of Kevin as a superhero. How...
