Red Bar

Dark, disturbing and not for everyone, Red Bar was most -definitely- my cup of tea. A treatise and a glimpse into a world where serial killers get acceptance and praise, love and affection because after all--everyone deserves it, right? ... full review

Klingon Tamburlaine

I was prepared... If this turned out to be a bunch of Trekkies wearing bad headpieces and doing bad Marlowe, I was prepared to ask Scotty to "beam me up". But OMG it was amazing. Amazing, I tell you! Congratulations on this directorial tour-de-force, Christopher Johnson! As for the source material, Kit Marlowe's words fit the patriarchal, pride-fueled, warlike Klingon worldview perfectly! The writing (or updating to the Trek world) is spot-on. The acting is full bodied and intense (Matt ... full review

I loved it!! From the brilliant writing and storytelling by Chambers Stevens, to the amazing acting by Ashley McQueston, this show was very intriguing and entertaining! While one person shows can be tough, that was not a problem for this show! It was a great plotline, that was filled with fun impressions, dancing, etc. Jae Heads Directing was great, and it shone throughout the show. Working with Jae myself in the past, I noticed his comedic fingerprint on the play that made it even better. There ... full review

FERTILE.

kylee pena · June 10, 2019 certified reviewer
Fertility and sex and related struggles, questions, and fears are all a real part of our lives that most of us don’t talk about, and these are depicted authentically through Heather’s semi-autobiographical performance in FERTILE. The story stays true to Jenny's path without getting sappy or depressing. There is no prescribed single "right answer" for people with (or without) fertility challenges, but rather a thoughtful glimpse into one woman's journey – with great comedic timing and moments of r... full review

What a great show. As a musical theater and G&S fan, it was a wonderful blend of both! The story was silly fun just like G&S with a twist. I enjoyed the bawdy humor. When a show makes the “turn off your cellphone” speech into its own bit, I know I’m in for a treat. Very glad I went.... full review

FERTILE.

Heather takes an often taboo subject that no one ever talks about and places it front and center. She is at ease on the stage and has no problem switching between characters. Heather has this maternal nature that makes you wanna run on stage and give her a big ol’ hug! Also, I’ve never seen a solo show without a narrator that appears throughout the show and so I thought Heather’s decision to not have one was really cool, unique, and makes her show stand out. I had such a great time watching this ... full review
