When it comes to experiencing theatre that is immersive, interactive and all-around entertaining, Shakedown at the Dusty Spur! makes a small black box theater in the middle of Los Angeles feel like the center of a classic western comedy through the immense commitment, dedication and talent of the performers: Elisabeth Hower, Liz Morgan, Turner Frankosky, Benji Kaufman, Tommy Fleming and Jason Poston along with the costume design of Erin Colleran and the artistic direction from Joe Desoto.
It was...

I absolutely adored this show. Brilliantly natural, witty dialogue / effortless banter between characters / and flawless transition to a an achingly gorgeous sobering ending which was so real & raw and came out of nowhere because we had been laughing at antics so hard from the start. Wow, such amazing work!!! ...

I haven’t laughed this hard at Fringe till Blackboxing. Every stereotypical one man show is explored by Matt Ritchey that it will stay in my memory for Fringe Festivals to come. A must see show for anyone who wants to know what NOT to do when putting up a show at the Fringe....

From her first appearance from the top of the stairs until the closing credits, Jenelle Lynn Randall embodies Eartha Kitt persona in such an electrifying way that I had to pinch myself to remind me I was watching a Fringe show rather than the multifaceted and outspoken artist that “made Lady Byrd cry” with her wit, her charm and her unspoiled gender. A tour de force in every way, Eartha Kitt will have you gagging but also reflecting on political and social issues that still exist in today, like t...

Four Clowns gives another fantastic production at this year’s Fringe! The story is set in Western Times, with your quintessential Hero in White and Villain in Black. A perfectly cast ensemble invites us into this Lil town where the Dusty Spur Saloon is at risk. Who will save the day? Some music, dance, and a plethora of laughs made 50mins fly by. A definite must-see for a feel-good theatre experience!...

I thought this musical was so great, and I’m generally not a huge musical person. But this show had lots of edge and used fun contemporary references to get laughs without ever totally pulling you out of the time it was set in. All the actors are excellent and perfectly cast as if their roles were written with them in mind. The leading actress accomplishes being soulful while still embodying what being a 13 year old girl feels like. This play has restored my faith in musicals, and perhaps I’ll ve...
