This show isn’t just a really good fun musical, it is a superb comedy on par with the Carol Burnett Show. Especially Lauren with the gloves and the Harry Caray impression and all of her expert timing. I really liked this show! Kelvin is a warm and engaging storyteller, which makes the issues he touches on - including racism, homophobia, and body shaming - carry all the more impact. And he never pounds you over the head; rather, he just tells his story, simply and effectively, so you find yourself fully invested in the man and his journey.
