I really enjoyed the story of this show. The question of seduction and manipulation really had me thinking. It can be touchy today, and I love that this play brought up that question about where the line is drawn....

I only laughed once in 52 minutes but came away impressed by the cast of 11 (6m/5f), most with Fine singing voices (and some really Dynamic ones), which deserved more dignified showcasing. The NEXT venue for this swamp of Western cliches will likely be a church basement. Director Jennifer Clymer, whose involvement I was supporting, kept it moving along a pro path better than it merited. Not really "Gilbert-&-Sullivan Out West", as advertised, more a lame spoof of Puccini's "Girl of the Golden W...

Great adaptation of a classic by the talented Irina Kompa...The Journey of the Little Prince. First published in 1943, the Journey of the Little Prince seems so relevant in today’s fast paced, materialistic world. Irina and her fellow actors did a great job of bringing to life this fascinating tale of the quest for love and the greater meaning of life. Highly recommend and look forward to Irina Kompa’s next production!...

Two character plays with multiple scenes have a problem maintaining momentum. Sex With Strangers by Laura Eason has a potential solution to this--simply, the costume and set changes are minimal, and initially non-existent. More, the characters as written leave us not only interested in what happens next, our interest grows. More than our interest, our investment because this play is no polemic but rather an exploration of an intense relationship--its birth and perhaps its end. Certainly it co...

This show delivers what it promises - high hilarity and moving pathos. The fact that it is based on a true story makes it especially poignant and touching. It is, indeed, an emotional rollercoaster ride that takes you high and low and leaves you uplifted and exhilarated in the end. ...

WHO’S YOUR FAVORITE CELEBRITY?!
I’m here live at the Fringe Festival in Hollywood. Just saw the 30-minute play ‘Siren Call’ by Jola Cora.
So, this dysfunctional romantic couple breaks into the home of a famous celebrity and takes her hostage.
I won’t spoil it for you, but I can say that this quick play is ENTERTAINING. Witty, referential, sexy, and scary, this minimalist three-person critique of the idea of celebrity challenges our incessant worship of movie stars. (Don’t act like you do...

I've been telling friends that The Same Room is "No Exit but with a happy ending." This usually inspires a laugh and the question "So heaven is other people?" Well, yes. So is hell. Plus the full range of everything in between. Two young women literally end up thrown (by who? or what?) into a room. We and they pretty soon realize they are dead, outside of time and space as we understand it. Nobody knows what happens next, but they must somehow handle it. In this work, the two are anything...
