The show was very campy and dark, and will probably be enjoyed by a much younger demographic. It also seemed like the cast was not quite up to the challenge, as their were serious vocal issues. Everyone has a story to tell, and plenty of them end up as Fringe solo shows. Dianne Pennington has had an interesting journey and plays herself well, abetted by Gil Karson's guitar, but she's overshadowed on stage by her friend Candida Rodriguez, who inadvertently steals her show by expertly playing a variety of characters, female and male, in Dianne's life to date! Well it’s interesting, I’ll give it that. If you come to see this show, come drunk. The very dedicated and well-directed cast truly do their best, it seems. The true passion and love of the Tangueros towards the story telling was absolutely admirable. The mélange of music and background selection along with theatrical movement of these 2 artists (Gimena and Tomas) was smart and breathtaking.
