I really liked and appreciated this show! It was clean, simple, deep, interesting, thought-provoking, and expertly done. Wow, as clinical as all my adjectives seem to be, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this show. It had a lot of heart, and I'm really thankful I got to see it! I can't wait to see the longer version of this!...

WOW! What a treat! I am so so pleased that I got to witness this absolute joy. What a great way to end my Fringe schedule! I laughed, I cried, I felt my heart lurch, I loved this show and am so impressed by Lawrie and the cast’s talent. I wish Lawrie bowed on the stage because she deserves one hell of an applause for what she’s created....

Sunbathe in Darkness is a deftly-handled exploration of the growing pangs of adolescence, told through a frankly ridiculous premise. That apparent disconnect, however, does nothing but elevate the emotional core of the show. The fanfiction elements provide a healthy dose of levity to the story, while slowly opening a window into the protagonist, Casey.
The entire cast deserves high praise for bringing an excellent script to life. Thanks to them, the characters feel real -- a feat made all the ...

Absolutely fantastic. Deserves top of fringe, deserves every award. It’s one of the best things I’ve seen at Fringe. I am so pleased I got to witness this expert artistic piece on stage. Watch out world, Joy is only just beginning to show you what she’s got. I, for one, will stick around for the ride. ...

Though laughs are aplenty in this insightfully provocative work by Canadian actor-writer Gina Omilon, as the name implies, this production is no comedy. Focusing on the current socio-political climate regarding immigration to the United States, as well as the potential consequences regardless of how one makes the journey, NO JOKE is a call to redefine humanity in a technologically, self-obsessed world. It's central theme will resonate with audiences long after this festival is over. It is worth n...

Effortlessly woven dialogue merges with a fascinating story of our own steps to where we are as a country. This piece of story-telling gave me a little window into a reality of what if... what if just a few people had made a few different choices? What if just one person had somehow stood their moral ground?
And a piece of art that leaves me asking questions, instead of wanting answers, is a piece of art that has the chance of shifting the way we see.
I was obviously moved by this story...

Earth to Karen, a zippy, four-actor musical comedy, is an exemplar of the old theatre adage attributed to Alexandre Dumas that all a play needs is “four boards and a passion.” In Broadwater’s Black Box, four terrific musical comedians seize the space with nothing but themselves, two chairs, and a table, backed by three musicians upstage.
Karen Spitz (Dagney Kerr), a former astronaut, veered off the rails when her unrequited passion for a fellow astronaut caused her to speed non-stop across cou...

Amanda is a talented performer and simply fascinating to watch. Her character work is subtle and distinct, a difficult combination to master. I loved the lengths she admits to going to find inner peace, and how at ease and happy she is on stage. It’s truly a winning show, and I hope she takes it all the way to the top!...
