Despite the serious topic, the musical was fun, catchy, hilarious, and constructive. Even worth seeing more than once. The jokes, music, message, and choreography all worked. ... full review

THE BULLY PROBLEM

“The Bully Problem” is absolutely delightful and engaging from start to finish. It’s also funny as all get out! Afterwards a group of us were all quoting our favorite lines at one another, still laughing until our faces and sides hurt. But what really makes this show a winner is the sense of hope and empowerment that it embodies. Protagonist Kevin’s journey becomes the audience’s journey, too, as we see how we can all rise up and “be our own [metaphorical] bodyguards.” In an era when school bully... full review

There was not a moment that I was not totally riveted by what was happening onstage. I wanted to be able to watch all four actor’s faces at the same time because there was so much depth in the performances. I was mesmerized by the physical aspect as well and how it was stretched and experimented with throughout the show. ... full review

Don’t miss this one! Three chances left! Steinwedell takes us on a raw, harrowing journey - delivering the goods with a deeply personal exploration of her past, present, and future. You’ll laugh and you’ll rightfully feel uneasy at times - but that’s the payoff of this honest, bold, and engaging one-woman show. It’s what we want from theatre: to be challenged and to be granted access to unique stories outside of our own adventure. Must see! ... full review

How I Became A Superhero

Overall I enjoyed the narrative of cishet-white-dude-who-thinks-he-can-change-the-world-while-still-being-complicit-in-capitalism-gets-his-ass-handed-to-him-by-the-reality-that-all-of-our-real-life-heroes-are-disappointing-at-best-and-nefarious-at-worst. The actors all seemed to be enjoying themselves and there was a genuine air about them all. In classic superhero movie fashion, there was even an end credits scene. This show is enjoyable and funny, tongue in cheek and self aware. ... full review

Wonderfully captivating and engaging from start to finish. Starting with waking up to the Woolsey Fire in Malibu and being evacuated from his home on a moments notice, he is somehow able to bring a comedic lightness to an otherwise devastating situation. Michael brings you in to his world of loss, love and celebration in his own heartfelt and comedic way that leaves you both laughing and crying. Each vignette or story threads together a beautiful picture; one of gratitude, awe, mystery, and love.... full review

A fun, funny show! Not altogether perfect - some of the plays are a bit uneven, and not sure if certain actors were under-rehearsed or simply underwritten - but worth the ticket price for the plays that were really hysterical! 'Polite Racism' might be worth the price of the ticket alone... but if you're in a really silly mood, throw in the last piece as well, as I laughed my ass off.... full review

HELL’s KITTY - the musical! note: HELL'S KITTY is MY BEST FRINGE yet ( and... yes, I've Fringed for many years ) Going to any Fringe theatrical production is an act of faith, is a gamble - the Russian roulette (if u will) of theatrical experiences. You could have a dud - u could have a masterpiece - the only guarantee is that u are supporting the theatrical arts community - and in the Los Angeles community of dreamers - the talented and less so are in abundance - and on full dis... full review
