Really enjoyed the concept of this show but I felt there were gaps within the script that threw me off track. It took me a while to figure out what was happening. It’s tough when it’s only two actors talking to try and keep audience engaged. The relationship between the two characters was there and the objectives were noticeable just would have love to have seen the actors go further and make the stakes higher. There was a slight disconnect between the two actors. What’s at stake?? Why is this re...

this show is dripping with the male gaze. it's a testosterone heavy pseudo-intellectual dive into 'guilt' that doesn't seem to know how to get to the point it's trying to make - or is it? the only female character in the show is a predator and while that might seem 'subversive', it does nothing but perpetuate this idea that women can't be powerful unto themselves unless they are dangerous. ...

Funny and Heartbreaking. The powerful piece triggered memories of past relationships with all of their ups and downs and forced me to reexamine my perspective on how I relate and listen to people I've cared about. Loving relationships are at times challenging and rewarding regardless of the outcomes. This play was a welcome reminder of lost love's previous incarnations. ...

It went deep to paint a picture of the thoughts we are afraid to bring light to. Heart felt and wholesome laughter that makes tears feel like oxygen. It was a fresh breath of air to share space with the downs of life to the reversal perspective that curses are blessings in disguise. Love the dynamic range of characters impersonations. She gave her heart and said hate me or love me I am here....

The most pleasant surprise I've had this Fringe - a charming and impossibly naturalistic show that never fails to impress with just how 'real' it seems. It feels like you're just eavesdropping on a group of friends for an hour. And it helps that each of these friends is well-developed and engaging from beginning to end. Don't miss your chance to hang out with these five for an hour....

Great, revealing first scene. With scenes flowing very well. Nothing left unanswered while at the same time it was easy to imagine parts of the characters lives you couldn’t see. I’m not an avid play goer, but it definitely was obviously well put together. Walked out thinking “I’d love to see this become a movie.” ...

There’s a tiny patch of Hollywood currently stuck in the 1980s and if you love demon dogs, shadow monsters, teen romances and, yes…. The Music, then this is the place to be. Stranger Things the Musical delightfully pokes fun at the Duffer Brothers 1980s homage through a playful use of 80s pop music nods and Speilbergian movie tropes. Lee Huff’s music is spot on with references from Cindi Lauper to “Footloose” and Angela Todaro’s staging is peppered with just the right classic 80s dance moves to k...

Naked Man Rising features a brave performance from Kyle Durack, but suffers from tonal inconsistencies. The aspects of Kyle's story that seem real are truly compelling and make him a sympathetic protagonist. Some of the fantastical elements are interesting and work well until we get to the Grindhouse-style revenge plot. By the time the show ends, rather than feeling that justice has been served by a disabled teenager overcoming dismissal and cruelty, a smart, sensitive boy has transformed into an...
