It's one thing to share at an AA meeting where everyone there knows what you are going through during rough patches. But to get up in front of an audience of strangers and share from the bottom of your soul on the ordeal that is drug addiction is quite another accomplishment Kudos to Crystal Bush for her brutally honest sharing of the trials and tribulations of drug addiction and the strength of character needed to overcome the demons. Solo show directed to perfection by Jessica Lynn Johnson....

I thought it was very well done and that it had some very helpful ideas on how to deal with stress in life. I also liked very much the type of humor that was written into the storyline of the play!...

Bob Leggett is such a genuine soul, that I couldn't help but fall in love with his story. I'm always fascinated by people who have lived a nomad lifestyle going from place to place because its the opposite of my own experience. Bob has found himself from the military, to world class music venues, to the renaissance faire, to the Fringe Festival. He takes us to all these places with DOZENS of pictures to back him up. I loved seeing the people and places pop up behind him as he was talking, it rea...

This is a fun show that has a lot of inside references, dirty jokes, clever lyrics and real emotional moments. I know absolutely nothing about Pokemon and due to the wonderful writing, direction, choreography, light design and cast, I started laughing the moment the lights came up and kept laughing throughout the rest of the show....

“What kind of God teaches people to hate their own flesh and blood?” This is the question that writer/performer Ramy El-Etreby struggles with in the wake of his public outing by The L.A. Times. It happened after El-Etreby was cast as a gay Muslim in a play: interviewed about the role, he revealed that he himself was both gay and Muslim. As homosexuality is haram (forbidden) in Islam, at least according to El-Etreby’s devoutly religious parents, this perso...

“We’ve been silent too long.”
An African-American man dressed in a black hoodie and black pants enters and begins dancing to J. Cole’s “Be Free.” His movements are hip-hop, but also ballet. Then another joins him. And another. Soon seven men’s bodies are moving as one — joy, pain, anger, protest, and resilience flowing through them. One man carries a large American flag, lamenting, “This flag is heavy.” Another chimes in that it “d...

An endearing dynamic among this group of performers. They shared a wonderful, heartfelt chemistry and never ceased to amuse me with their quips even amid the tense moments. Post-college life is always a difficult, different, and exciting journey into uncharted territory—props to these young actors for tackling the unpredictability of the new present with a (albeit hopeful) reality check. ...

This show features the biggest A-Hole I've seen so far in the 2019 Fringe Festival. I mean that as a compliment in the highest sense. The hilarity that comes from the title character is made all the more real by the fact that everyone in the audience (especially in LA) knows someone EXACTLY LIKE HIM. Luca Malacrino plays the Narcissist character brilliantly and I laughed through the whole thing. This is the funniest show I've seen so far in the Fringe. ...
