Nicholas Tana and crew aim to deliver what you'd expect from a musical about a possessed cat: 90 minutes of unpretentious, referential silliness. A very funny, touching play that cuts to the quick and pulls no punches. It’s refreshing to a see a play that tells the truth even when it isn’t pretty! Loved the Southern Florida swamp crabbing characters. Each character was so specific, flawed and different yet relatable. They all were distinctly Southern in attitude, beliefs and cadence. Absolutely brilliant. A story that could easily have been a tragedy, instead brought to life via music and comedy with the ultimate message: we cannot be held accountable for the actions of others, but we *can* find self-love and forgiveness from within. Having seen Mil Grus perform shorter sets around Los Angeles, it was wonderful to see what they did with a full stage and an hour to themselves. I was engaged the whole time and was delighted at how everything flowed and how one piece led into another. As a Troupe, they seemed very comfortable with each other and that comfort came through as confidence and sensitivity to the audience and the energy that was in the room. So glad they made it to Fringe!!... full review
