Prodigy

I thought 'Prodigy' was incredibly moving. Coming at the invitation of my friend, Eddie Yu, I had no idea what to expect and was completely blown away by the whole experience. Moved to near-tears by this tale of parents and children, set goals vs personal dreams, love vs duty, identity vs perception... It stirred the heart and asked us questions rather than pushing an answer or agenda down our throats. Congrats and kudos to the cast and crew!... full review

THE HUMAN[OID] EXPERIENCE

john patrick daly · June 21, 2019 certified reviewer
I walked out of this show with an existential crisis. What does it mean to be an entertainer, an artist, or even alive, in a world that contains as much pain and horror as this one? A little uneven at times and with a tone issue between the two story lines, this is a pressing and smart play about who you are when your technology outgrows you.... full review

What I Never Told You

What I Never Told You is a wonderful, well acted piece. The writing was crisp and the acting on point. What I Never Told you speaks to the regrets of relationships in out multi-tasked lives. We never know when or what the import moment are and when they may end. i enjoyed this piece very much.... full review

"Chrysalis" is a deeply moving collection of works. It pulled me in from Moment One and I was fully invested in all the pieces. I was moved to tears many times. Two Naked Angels

ally dixon · June 21, 2019 certified reviewer
These two writers are the perfect compliment to each other. The first show existing in a space you would never think to wonder about, with two chaotically different experiences of it, pure isolated fear and freedom. And in the second performance - existing in a space you are afraid to think about, facing horrors of humankind and specifically the female experience of them. The actors, the writing, and the simple set will leave you a mess. An emotional journey, this hour is not to be missed! Get in... full review

The Living Room

I didn't know whether to cry or laugh, laugh then cry or do both at the same time. This piece was wonderfully executed, expressing the emotions and deep absurdities that come with loss. The spontaneity in humor and on the fly commentary was the perfect touch to adding some lightheartedness to the subject. Both did an excellent job at representing the chaos and denial that comes with loss, the surface level experience of loss and how we respond/connect with it. My second time watching the piece an... full review

This show delivers on everything you would want in a holiday story ...and I so appreciated getting all those warm fuzzy feelings off-season. It was fun and optimistic. Christi’s sincerity and enthusiasm shines through this character and it would be impossible not to fall in love with her. Despite there being an overall cheery sheen, the writer does not shy away from bigger themes such as sexual harassment and the age-old Christmas lesson of gratitude. ... full review
