Batter Up! My Brain on Baseball

It’s not about baseball! Well, OK. It IS. BUT it’s just as much about ANY obsession. And we ALL have one, at least. Brett’s particular passion for baseball – and his rather extraordinarily retentive brain – is the jumping off point. But, ultimately, it’s about having something to love and take joy in, even if it’s an overwhelming crazy kind of love....

I thought a collapsed coal mine would feel claustrophobic, but under this mine is a whole other world of dark stuff to be uncovered, and I'm not talking about the coal! Immersive and addictive, as the show plunges into the darkness, further and further and further... Once the lights go down, you're down there with these men from the beginning; it's an atmosphere filled with an incomprehensible amount of personalities all placed in a dire situation, and everything that happens thereon is full-pric...

The show was excellent. Well written, incredibly performed and a story that became increasingly engaging as the play continued. That’s a feat in and of itself. The audience was on the edge of their seats wondering where this story would lead and no one left with a dry eye....

Blackboxing is a hilarious, cringe-inducing exploration of the narcissism, neuroses, and sheer hubris of an actor putting on a one-man show. A loving and knowing skewering of a sometimes deeply self-indulgent art form....

A hilarious, semi-improvised show about a man pandering to whomever he has to to get elected. Jeff Ahern crafts a ridiculous, but plausible candidate who is just trying to do good.
Brilliantly conceived and simply staged, Sylus' campaign is strange and wonderful, and so is his campaign manager. Jeff incorporates every suggestion seamlessly into his story and the audience is with him every step of the way....

Pockets was a tremendous performance. You can tell Robot Teammate spent so much time and effort to stage this. The chemistry between the members was clear. They engage the audience in a playful way, and sometimes provide a timely bit of self awareness. The subject matter was hilarious, but allows room for thoughtful reflection after leaving. Strong female leads carry the emotional arc of the show while equally strong male members bolster the beats within the narrative. Keep following this crew, ...

Ask A Black Woman is raw, authentic, heart-breaking - a story that needs to be told. Shanara’s fast-paced and energetic delivery entertains, but more importantly it educates and enlightens her audience. You won’t see anything else like this at the Fringe. Don’t miss it!...

Wow! From the writing to the acting, Saving Cain is a powerhouse of talent. Aaron Kozak's exploration of the subject matter is both deep and extremely pointed. Even as it branches out he manages to keep it succinct and timely. He tells a dramatic story with such levity and familiarity that it goes down smoothly while still being impactful. With Leah Verrill and Lenny Hernandez the emotion is so close to the surface it's palpable. They're able to convey complicated character development with...
