Rock Band Murder Mystery

A somewhat interesting idea that was largely flawed in its execution. The 'mystery' wasn't much of one because of how clues were presented and the 'rock band' part was not as much fun as one would have hoped....

My God, this is how you do a fringe musical. Guy Picot's direction uses minimalist set pieces and crazy-quick costume changes not only in perfect service of this story, but in a way that adds to it's humor and the show's overall charm. Next-leveled by Sarah Kruger's choreography, "Earth To Karen" is an unexpected delight of visual storytelling. Each cast member is just fabulous in their role and with Zachary Bernstein's gift for turn of phrase and modern storytelling, this show is nothing but tal...

A truly amusing idea that was, for the most part, very well executed. While I have a small quibble with one consistent choice made throughout the show, in general I found it be a neat and fun concept that had surprising depth hidden below its 'failed' presentation....

These are two great women who have put together very different but equally compelling experiences. I'm very glad to see that they're getting some recognition because they definitely deserve it.
This production connects two very different ideas into a sharp, exceptional hour of theatre that everyone should go see immediately....

Absolutely fabulous show. Janelle hits it out of the park from start to finish. I was aware but not particularly impressed with the original Eartha Kitt, but Janelle's version brings her gritty life to us and shows us what a unique ultimate survivor she was. Every song was sung with such a new creative twist that I found myself hearing these old chestnuts for the first time. I came in not being very aware of Eartha Kitt, except as a sort of old camp icon with a cat outfit and who rolls R's like a...

The bully problem is a delightful musical about what it's like to be a creative kid in middle school and discover who your peers really are. The messages of belonging, daring to step into the unknown, and achievement as defined by empowering others were all refreshing and told from the heart. I can recommend this musical for all ages, and artists/nerds/geeks of all stripes....

The actors turned a not so interesting plot into magic with their skills. Each player seemed to affect the audience in a different way with smiles and deep down "that was pretty damn funny" laughs throughout the play. Very intimate setting and so simple that the dialogue was the glue that connected the audience with the players. overall, i really enjoyed play!...
