The cast brings all of their talents to bear at the highest level, which makes for an enjoyable exploration of geek vs. bully life in junior high school. This is a really great show. Thematically, it is poignant and relevant to issues facing Black people today. The show takes place in 1964 during the Civil Rights Movement and the characters argue over the correct approach to effect change. Listening to them discuss what is happening at that time really makes you realize how little has changed in America since then.
