Made for Each Other

John's solo portrayal of four distinct characters was a joy to experience; each was complicated in their own way. Monica's script addressed the gamut of human emotions and, while it offered no definitive answers to questions of mortality and love, it suggested that it's okay to do the best we can.... full review

The Journey of The Little Prince

The concept was wonderful! I never read the book but my wife did and she immediately remembered some of the very true statements made about life and what is important. The director's vision was extraordinary and the dance moves as she moved from planet to planer were delightful. The cast did a wonderful job. I actually thought the King was a small person when he came on stage on his knees. My knees ached for him.... full review

Omg, what a crazy-fun show! I haven’t enjoyed a theater production so much in a long time. The Last Croissant is a well written play with great depth that gets you thinking about life, relationships and the human condition. There’s lots of witty banter and plenty of humorous moments to keep you laughing! The whole show comes together flawlessly, thanks to its fabulous stage directing, cast, set design, costumes, lighting & sound. I particularly enjoyed the camping theme and I went home yea... full review

FERTILE.

kincaid walker · June 11, 2019 certified reviewer
Highly-recommended! I loved Heather's first solo show, UNEMPLOYED. FINALLY. and I was excited to fall in love with this show too. And I did. Heather is a wonderful, endearing performer and she bravely puts herself in the middle of a complicated and fairly personal examination of what it means to be "fertile" -- or not -- in our society. This is a funny, sincere, heart-warming exploration of one woman's attempts to navigate trying to get pregnant, friends who are/have been/don't want to be and all... full review

The show was such a brilliant presentation of current issues in our society involving race and sexuality. Knowing it was a “family drama” I didn’t expect to laugh so much! For a drama/tragedy, it is actually hilarious in all the right places! By the time it ended, I (and just about everyone else in the theater) was left silent and still. I had to let the impact of the message sink in before I felt like I could move out of the theater. Very powerful stuff! Really well crafted and brilliantly execu... full review

Speak I Will was an empowering and emotional show. As someone who doesn’t know a ton about Shakespeare, I found it interesting and unique. A true treat and would highly recommend checking out this show. ... full review

Life Plan, or Living Your Best Life in a Collapsing World

sarah reid · June 11, 2019 certified reviewer
I appreciated the world building very much. Before the show starts you "disinfect" your feet, a pleasant (or is it ominous) voice reassures you of your safety and reminds you of the hell that is outside, the materials on your chair establish apocalyptic details. And then it begins and the actors ARE SO GOOD. It's funny, totally thoughtful and thought-provoking (sign me up?), and more moving than I expected.... full review

I attended the "Preview" and found it needed more rehearsals. Getting 14 people co-ordinated in the short rehearsal time allowed for a Fringe show is obviously way too trying. Enjoyed the opening number and if you are into Greek myths, seems like a fun show.... full review

Ghost Town

aiah samba · June 11, 2019 certified reviewer
To say this performance was breathtaking is an understatement. Haunting, funny, and completely sobering, Ghost Town will remain with you long after your first viewing. And don’t be mistaken, there should be multiple viewings of this tour de force. The play gets its title from the violent displacement of people in towns across present day Cameroon. The show effortlessly brought together the crux of the turmoil and unrest in the nation like a maelstrom of heartbreak. From a corrupt minister to a t... full review
