This is such a cool concept! It's original and interactive. I'd love to see more experimenting like this in the theater world--it brings in different audiences and expands on what theater can be. We had a blast at the show....

An interesting piece of performance art that plays off of intimacy very well. I loved the one-on-one time here, appreciated the dark tone and themes, and the writing and performing is great. Ten minutes is so fleeting! But it was definitely an engaging ten minutes....

A fun production with a stellar cast. This musical adaptation doesn't stick play-by-play to the original film's story line (as thin as that story line was) but the real essence of The Toxic Avenger is the comical and over-the-top tone of the film, which is definitely here. The musical has playfully added in elements of modern day anxiety about pollution and global warming, which fits this retelling of the story. Of course, at the end of the day the show is just a fun, campy, comic book-style romp...
