LEAR / LOMAN - The Best of INK @Fringe

t seems that I saved one of the best shows of HFF19 for last, as Lear/Loman delivered on so many levels.  Starting with the amazing script written by Kate Schwartz and directed by Scott Leggett, the acting was simply amazing and the show left a sizeable impact on me, especially given what had happened to me during the weekend.  Suffice it to say that this show is definitely in the top 10 and maybe even the top 5 of the over 600 shows I have reviewed at the Fringe, and I will never forget its impa... full review

Sex With Strangers

Well acted, with some very touching moments. I heard many comments during the festival about how long a Fringe show 'should' be which I personally find bizarre - as Peter Schaeffer has Mozart stating in his play Amadeus when the King says there are 'too many notes' - "there are as many notes as there need to be!" Similarly, this play is as long as it needs to be and they held the audience's attention throughout.... full review

I absolutely adored the entire show!! The actors emitted such a passion and love for the nerdy things it glowed throughout the audience. The music is fun and makes you want to dance around with your friends! The show made you really care about the characters and see the humanistic side of each character as they evolved throughout the show.... full review

From the moment even before the show began (I would advise arriving early for some delightful musical pre-show shenanigans), I had a smile on my face which didn't leave until hours after I left the theatre. This absolute gem of a show is one of the most unique, captivating productions, and a masterclass in comedic writing, ensemble performance, and magical realism.
