About the Project
Satyr Play is a theatrical comedy experience employing sketch comedy, improvisation, video and animation, and music. The running time ranges from 60 to 80 minutes and is organized like a variety show. The SATYR Chorus acts as the “host,” introducing and connecting the differing acts with musical segues, as well as longer musical features throughout the show. This creates a seamless through line leading the audience from start to finish. The material itself ranges from startlingly silly to dark and thought-provoking. Satyr Play provides much needed comic relief to this often much too-serious reality.
