Katelyn loves Hayao Miyazaki movies and Chef Gordon Ramsay’s forehead. The Legend of Zelda is pretty much her boyfriend.
Katelyn has a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance from Central Washington University where she focused on devised works and Japanese Noh. She’s been performing on the front lines of the explosive LA immersive theatre scene, collaborating with up-and-coming interactive companies to empower hits like C(ovell), Drunken Devil, Cloak and Dagger, Grunge Shop Tavern, Sideshow, Safehouse ’77 Safehouse ’82, & The Pod. She is the co-artistic director of the critically acclaimed LA immersive company Spy Brunch LLC, churning out three original productions this 2020 season.
Her solo show Murder Blood Bear Story premiered in 2015 at the Hollywood Fringe, was nominated for “best solo show”, and has since gone on to tour the New Orleans Solo Festival, Maui Fringe, and internationally to the Canadian Nanaimo Fringe; winning “best in festival” and “best performance”. Katelyn became an instant fringe addict and has acted, written, and produced a Hollywood Fringe production every year since. In 2018 Lucid Dramatics’ production of Laertes Loves Hamlet Loves Ophelia took home the Hollywood Fringe Award for “Best in Ensemble Theatre”.
This is her 6th year participating in the Hollywood Fringe Festival. You might have caught her last summer in The Pod, co-writing/directing/performing in collaboration with Spy Brunch and Lucid Dramatics, which was nominated for “Best in Immersive Theatre”.
