I am an actor, dancer, and now a self-proclaimed writer :) I was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, however I am not your typical southern belle. I don’t even have a lick of a southern accent and y’all is not in my vocabulary.
I graduated from Emerson College with a degree in Theatre Studies in December of 2007. I now spend my days teaching theatre and dance to Kindergarten through 5th graders at an amazing elementary school in Westwood. I never thought I would want to be a teacher and I have honestly never been so fulfilled. It is indescribably rewarding to bring the joy of theatre to kids the way so many did for me growing up.
As much as I love teaching, I still NEED to perform. My passion for performance isn’t a matter of wanting to do it, it is something I need. Three years ago at Emerson, I wrote a 20 minute solo play that I have now redeveloped into a full length piece that I am so proud of and so excited to share with the world. Writing is scary territory for me, but I am enjoying this journey and learning so much in the process.
