About the Project
Bio-drama about tango singer Carlos Gardel, raised by french single mother Bertha, an ironing woman in Buenos Aires, his lifelong girlfriend Isabel del Valle from the barrio and tango Maestro Jose’ Razzano, who guides his career to fame and fortune. His friend and lyricist Alfredo Le Pera is in the closet but would rather have Gardel’s affection for himself rather than sharing him with tobacco heiress Sadie Baron Wakefield, who bankrolls their tango recordings and promotes Gardel’s film career in Europe and Hollywood!
