Simon, the sexually confused Asian American high schooler, strives to be the perfect son he believes his parents wants by putting away his true dream of singing Chinese Opera in Drag. When he loses touch with his best friend for 7 years, Ariana, the biracial recent high school graduate who moves to New York to chase after her dream of being on Broadway, Simon’s “sickness” in homosexuality worsens and he ends up running away from home and lives on the street. In the end, he finds a job at a gay bar and receives life advice from a drag performer at the bar to reunite with his best friend and most importantly himself.
