What I liked
I loved the references to The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. My mom and I love those shows and talk about them every week.
I also LOVED the songs Amanda sings, which were totally unexpected! She has an AMAZING voice!!!
I loved Amanda’s sense of humor!!!
Lastly, I really appreciated Amanda’s vulnerability. I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to write a show like this, much less perform it in front of a mixed crowd of friends, acquaintances, and strangers.
What I didn't like
To me, the ending felt a bit abrupt, but this could be because I was so very much enjoying the show, I was not ready for it to end at all!
My overall impression
Amanda Broomell oozes talent. I was thoroughly entertained from start to finish. A healthy balance of comedic and heartfelt moments, both from raw recounts of real life experiences, Mandy Picks a Husband delivers all the feels. I’m already ready for the sequel…
