Birthday is beautifully written and performed. Never a check your phone moment to be had – A true rarity, these days.
What I didn't like
I wish the show could have been longer – I wanted to hear more.
My overall impression
GO SEEBIRTHDAY! I have seen many one person shows and this ranks as one of my all time favorites. Michael takes the audience on an emotional rollercoaster. You’re laughing your ass off one minute and crying the next – and you love every minute of it. Michael is vulnerable on stage, and I can only imagine how cathartic it is for him, because it was cathartic for the audience. We are right there with him as he shares with us a year filled with unimaginable loss, but skillfully manages to never leaves us empty or sad. Michael seamlessly weaves in humor and hope and inspires us all to experience our lives honoring what we’ve lost but looking into the joy of our present. GO SEETHISSHOW ! – you will never forget it.
