Ben Hethcoat is electric, which seems to be spot on for Lee Atwater. The style of the show was interactive at moments which I thought was fun, and highlights the skill of the actors to improvise when needed. I’m not well-read on the politics of this era, and this show tells the story of this particular event and person in a highly entertaining fashion.
What I didn't like
The next venue (or above) was hosting some concert, and that distracted from some lovely moments on stage, though I realize this is not at all the fault of the production.
My overall impression
Fantastic performances all around, and I learned a lot about a man and era I didn’t have prior knowledge of.
