What I liked

I appreciated the combination of mime and the use of costume pieces and props to differentiate characters within the story. The actor was fully committed to his physical and emotional performance and this helped him make an intimate connection with the audience keeping them engaged. He endowed his warrior with nobility and tenderness and moved me to tears.

What I didn't like

It might be nice to have a program with a glossary of some of the terms, historical notes and perhaps a note from the writer.

My overall impression

Riveting first-person account of this Lakota leader’s struggle to save his people and preserve their way of life. The entire show is beautifully written, staged and performed. Arrive early and sit in silence while the pre-show soundtrack sets the mood and prepares you for a Vision Quest. Highly recommended. Don’t miss it.
