Absolutely incredible..
Deeply touching and relatable, I saw myself in these characters (especially Prodigy) and reminded me of my relationship (or lack thereof) with my father. A must watch. ...

PRODIGY was quite a surprise to me. I've attended a few plays performed in smaller theaters and never felt they were actually star quality which could be performed on a larger stage. But not so for PRODIGY! The script was so well written and evoked so many emotions in me. How many of us have seen A-list celebrities underperform due to a poor script! PRODIGY script provided fertile ground for award-winning performances from all of its actors. And in addition to the excellent script and performances, the topic was so current and I'm sure will hit the heart of every attendee. It sure did mine!...

Prodigy centers around the portrayal of a Korean-American family but masterfully presents themes that individuals from wide backgrounds can relate to. It manages to be culturally specific while simultaneously tapping into experiences and desires that are human, not simply Korean-American. The audience leaves having gained insight into one culture but finds that that insight serves as a means to a larger end: the play engenders a renewed resolve to more sensitively and intentionally value and empathize with people, particularly those in your own family....

I thought 'Prodigy' was incredibly moving. Coming at the invitation of my friend, Eddie Yu, I had no idea what to expect and was completely blown away by the whole experience. Moved to near-tears by this tale of parents and children, set goals vs personal dreams, love vs duty, identity vs perception... It stirred the heart and asked us questions rather than pushing an answer or agenda down our throats. Congrats and kudos to the cast and crew!...

A riveting performance! Prodigy is skillfully scripted and perceptively directed. As a Korean American, I found myself completely immersed in the protagonist’s pursuit of her dream. ...
