The set was magical and the costumes were delightful—the design was very Wes Anderson. The actors all really embodied their roles, which paid off in little moments. The final scenes, where the relationships turned/evolved, were poignant.
What I didn't like
Honestly, I really struggled to watch this. Billed as an absurdist farce, I found the script pretentious and the acting forced, which both dampened the jokes, while the absurdist elements were confusing and one-note, with no resonant impact on the characters or story.
