Rosie Glen-Lambert’s direction was a master piece of physical comedic timing and the cast was incredible all around. Particular props to Veronica Tijoe’s creation of “Mumbo” and “Jumbo” and Meg Cashel and Tyler Bremer’s performances as these fabulously, pointlessly WONDERFUL characters. But truly, this whole team is hopelessly delightful to witness onstage.
What I didn't like
Every character had a delightful story arc (which is a serious feat for a piece with this many moving parts) but I would have loved to see the arcs entwine a little more at the end, and/or for our narrator to have the chance to pop in and join the fray.
My overall impression
If you’re starting to feel like every story has been told in every way possible- go see “The Last Croissant.” This show is like commedia dell’arte, children’s theatre, The Three Stooges and Three’s Company all got together and made a baby. Yes. One baby. How? Go see "The Last Croissant and find out.
