What I liked

The program was impressive and set some high expectations before the show began, with what seemed like a well conceived back story for the structure of the cult. Making the audience wear a name tag assigning them a role in the cult was also fun… but neither had any pay off or even reference, so ultimately a waste.

What I didn't like

Everything. The script needs a full rework, with tightening all around. Recast or make sure the cast knows their lines. Stop calling it immersive, and totally edit the description so the show matches what it’s selling (there is no “riveting competition” to become the new leader — they each give a monologue about how they killed someone).

My overall impression

It’s hard to dislike anything at Fringe, but this one hit all the wrong buttons. For starters, it’s tagged as “immersive”, and this is sheer false advertising. The lead actor seemed to be struggling to remember his lines and didn’t convey any sense of cult leader charisma, while the rest of cast’s monologues were over written and lacked any cohesive tone.
