What I liked

All the things.

What I didn't like

Hmmm. Not sure. I’m sure something because there can always be improvement… but this production is pretty tight in its delivery.

My overall impression

I just adored this show. It’s hard to put into words how fantastically effective the performances, staging and writing all are… that’s why we should just leave the writing to Louisa. Hilary Kelman’s acting is so poignantly thoughtful… presenting a full realization of Louisa through all her struggles and achievements. Every word, gesture and thought are absolutely authentic. The rest of the cast is just as wonderfully on point, interpreting parts of the script with wonderful anachronistic quirks that serve as a comedic way for a modern audience to relate to what only seems unrelatable. Although the silliness may appear over the top at times… it serves a greater purpose of juxtaposing the moments of true sorrow and heartbreak. Did I just watch parts of my own life play out on stage? I think we all did. I really do see a fantastic future for this production. I can see off-Broadway and honestly even Broadway potential for this piece. This show has it all.
