What I liked
Big, ambitious, intricate: this is what 2Cents does. I had a great time! I was led through the streets of Hollywood, wrapped in the beautiful prose of Elliot. My guides were funny, passionate, dedicated. There were twists and turns. I was whispered things my fellow audience members were not privy to. I carried an injured man two blocks, where I was then ushered into a tent and told the most beautiful stories. I was given a new name. I met a young woman separated from her family who needed my help. I got completely swept up in it. It was fun to get thrown into this environment and try to piece together what was going on. It was great asking my guides and other “citizens” questions and getting detailed answers. And it all made me want to go back, take other tracks—or even the same track—and do things a little differently.
What I didn't like
like anything big, intricate, and ambitious—there are bumps. timing. tech. these things will be sorted i’m sure.
My overall impression
you will not be spoonfed. you will not be told a linear story. you may not understand everything once it’s done. things may be ambiguous. things may be open to interpretation. you are encouraged to fully participate in the world. ask questions. seek answers. figure out your place in this society. if you like to get involved—this is the show for you. you’re not here to just watch. you’re here to become a part of something.
