What I liked

I really liked that the actors performed as if in a play, rather than have them standing in front of microphones as would have been done. The use of props and great costumes really enhanced the production.

I really enjoyed the live foley and sound effects too. The cast really captures the feel of early 20th Century radio entertainment.

What I didn't like

I think that future iterations could have the actors lavalier miked so that the foley could be louder. The theatre space was small and intimate so it really wasn’t a problem, but if this show is mounted in a larger venue, then I would recommend miking the actors too.

My overall impression

Fun, fun, FUN!!! If you remember the old radio shows from the 1930s/40s, or if you’ve ever heard vintage recordings of those shows, you’ll really enjoy this production. There’s live Foley and music just like they did in yesteryear.
