My overall impression
Straight from the first century roaring full-blast into the twenty-first, Seneca’s Hercules Insane is given a powerful, accomplished production which is sure to change your mind about classical drama. Strong performances and dazzling costumes, movement, dance, fights, music and staging make comprehensible potentially obscure material. Both enjoyable and educational, who knew that Shakespeare’s witches can be traced back to Seneca?
