What I liked
Goglia has a rare gift of being completely herself on stage. Her talents are beyond exciting to witness. Who else can sing Joni Mitchell, Meghan Trainor, Carole King and everything Broadway with such ease and no discernible difficulty emulating genres?
What I didn't like
There’s not much to improve upon with Stages. The stories that held it all together supported every choice and resulted in a tipsy mass leaving the theatre at the end of the night with smiles on their faces and hope for future heartbreak healing.
My overall impression
Emily Goglia is a dynamite performer. From the moment her saucy, outrageous, touching show began the audience knew they were in good hands. Something special happened during the evening, we were transformed from an audience to Emily’s brunch bunch.
