My overall impression

I have not had so much fun in a long time. These guys were just great. I sit all day hacking boring software, these guys provided a rich and diverse emotionally intense therapy. They were just great. 8 of the 10 actors were really fantastic. I later realized that the two unimpressive people were the musicians. I did not notice the music at all, which is in fact what the musicians are supposed to do, just be supporting actors, and they did that very well indeed.

What a riot. The serial killer was creepy, the government official was pompous, the fat lady was
an intense personality. I loved the woman who liked death. The Chinese pimp was the epitomy of a pimp. The drug dealer Sammy was not very noticeable, but afterwards I think he had a solo as the crazy guy at the rehab, and as such he was truly fantastic. The whore was an angel. The policeman reminded me of the policemen in the silent movies. He was later very dynamic as the head of rehab. And of course who can forget the two lovely nurses. I only missed out on the drug addicted scion of wall street bankers, really well done. They were all just fantastic. I highly recommend this play.

In reviewing a play you also have to look at the big picture. The whole thing fit together very nicely, providing a great structure for the individually brilliant performances.

I worry I will not find as good a performance today.

Oh, and sorry if it had no cultural relevance, it was just plain good old fun.
