This show is the best thing I've ever seen at The Fringe. Rose Bochner's direction is truly incredible. I never thought I needed to see a comedic version of Macbeth, but now it's the only version I want to see. This show is what would happen if Hedwig and The Angry Inch had a lovechild with Monty Python while tripping on mushrooms in Birnam Wood. It's genuinely hilarious, and not in a contrived way. You don't need to be a Shakespeare nerd to understand it, but even Shakespeare nerds will have fun at this show. What a ride! ... full review

In a fashion, they have returned the bard and his play to that original environment where it would have, first, been staged; an environment where actors were constantly padding their roles and in which the comic characters were always clowning for the audience. A solid Gold medal!... full review

You can't say you weren't warned! Up front the caricature-laden advertising says "Macbeth But Funny!"---but what surprised me was that there were some snippets of serious Sharkespeare, well-acted, in among the dopey jokes (and there are LOTS of those)! There seems to be much NYC training behind this eclectic cast, so I'd like to see them again, in real drama or real comedy or real Shakespeare. The cast is superb and the souvenir program is a hoot---but the show is stolen by Carlos Chavez and Chase Mullins, both of whom brightened the evening a lot! ... full review
