What a delightful surprise! Most parody musicals I've seen have strayed too far from the general conceit, but not here. This is, essentially, a full season of "The Bachelor" crammed into 75-minutes of song and dance madness. It's made by people who understand the tropes of what make the show so addicting to audiences....

As someone who has seen an embarrassing amount of episodes of the bachelor/bachelorette I can tell you this musical is spot on. I appreciated the ways the show commented on the realities of the series from the fact that the people are shown on fancy dinners and they're not allowed to eat the food- the overnight rose ceremonies, and the lack of casting anyone other than a bunch of white people... I think a lot of really good points are shown and I wish the show went even further showing that point of view, though I have no complaint on that as far as the experience of viewing the show- but I think it could be a way bigger social statement.
