This guy is truly talented. He tackles such a difficult topic with such sincerity and BRUTAL honesty that you can't help but want to cry while laughing at the same time. Gudernatch has a knack for self-deprecating humor that is so genuine and he opens himself up to be laughed at in ways many veteran comedians would shy away from. This show is an insight into the uncomfortable and awkward reality of dealing with tragedy as an immature kid. I can see anyone who has dealt with a similar situation finding comfort in such honesty. I will be seeing this again and look forward to seeing more of this talented guy in the future. 10/10....

What an entertaining show! The way the show is constructed made for an interactive and unique experience. Matthew Gudernatch's usage of the video screen, prop, puppet, guitar, and the song felt very well prepared to express the story they wanted to tell. While the subject is heavy and sad, Matthew's acting brings levity to the play. While the respect for his mother is still present, he can seamlessly shift into a comedic tone in the next through clever dialogue. ...

One of the best pieces of theater I've seen in a long time. This powerhouse, authentic performance swung effortlessly between genuine vulnerability and giddy silliness. The goofy and the profound both felt like authentic expressions of this exceptional performer. I laughed throughout the show, and when I wasn't laughing, I was crying. Truly exceptional work....

A must see! I wasn't sure what to expect, but if you're after deep, honest, belly laughs, followed seconds later by stunned silence and tears then this show is for you. Matt knows how to leave you feeling all sorts of feelings and I truly love this show....

Absolutely heart-wrenching and hilarious. This musical beautifully balances devastatingly dark confessional storytelling with the absurd and obscene humor of a 14-year-old boy. In the theatre, it made me cry, laugh and groan; thinking about the play afterwards had me weeping in a Trader Joe's parking lot. Well done....
