I can't wait to see this again- I know this was closing night, but I'm hoping this isn't all we get to see and hear from The Edge Of The Universe- this show s the ultimate dose of nostalgia brought to life with a fresh and well thought out idea.
The cast's energy was infectious- great vocals from Miss Frizzle in particular. The songs were not only smart but clever especially in their reprises. When the kids came back as 3rd graders I about jumped out of my seat with excitement and I might've been tearing up at the end.
Even though the show is billed as a "parody" and technically falls into that category it isn't campy - it's a full fledged original musical based on a solid concept - I look forward to seeing Elias Rubin's name as it be...

The best way to pay tribute to a beloved kid's show? Follow them after the episode and see how evolved. Mr. Rubin did a great job capturing how Ms. Frizzle's favorite students grew up an what happens when they go on one last field trip....

The Edge of the Universe: a Magic School Bus Musical Parody is a walk down memory lane for the beloved children's TV show. My daughter grew up on the Magic School Bus, knew the many references and was delighted to see beloved characters coming to life. I enjoyed the show for it's creativity, music and enthusiasm. The cast was delightful. The staging was flexible and kept the story moving. The third grade segment was my favorite. Elias Rubin has a great future in store....
