I was very impressed with the show! It showed a lot of different emotions that a person can feel at any moment of any day. From happy and joyous to sad and misunderstood. The story was great, solid connection to the characters because they were developed well, Good acting and consistent undivided attention to see what is coming up next! Great job! I look forward to seeing this again and definitely more from Paul on a bigger screen!... full review

Amazing Performance! Paul Yen gives an honest display of the struggle that Asian Americans face not only in the media, but throughout history and in our lives today. This show raises awareness of the racial injustice for Asian Americans told through the story of Paul's life and through the stories of our favorite superheroes. ... full review

It was a magnificent play. Paul Yen is captivating in this one man play and switches to and from characters flawlessly. The passion in which he performs each character is mesmerizing. He brings to light stereotypes and issues that are present in the film industry. However, it is so cleverly written that it appeals to the masses and viewers can easily relate to the characters. The viewer is taken through a plethora of emotions as the young man matures. There were laugh out loud moments and his ability to interact with the audience in an instant was wonderfully engaging. This play was educational, thought provoking, and overall inspiring. I would definitely watch it again and at the very least recommend this play to friends and family. It is a... full review

Paul Yen realized his nearly decade dream w/ Secret Identity going from pen to live stage performance and I was honored to witness it last night. He captured the modern day Asian man's struggle to find his own unique identity w/in media by drawing from his own experiences, referencing history, and sprinkling in just the right amount of humor and audience interaction to make the hour flow by nicely. The show reminded me of seeing a young Will Yum Lee in a similar venue when he first started. Paul Yen's performance in Secret Identity was powerful, poignant, and refreshing without the glibness so many Asian (American) characters normally receive by Hollywood. ... full review

A very important show that speaks on things that most Americans (even Asian Americans) don't consider. More importantly, Paul is a powerful performer who showcases dynamic range in this one-man show. Multiple characters with an exciting through-line / message and a fantastic reimagining that will leave you wanting more. ... full review

Fantastic performance on a beautifully written show. It's a much needed comment to the current condition of the film industry. Not only that, the show gave me an insight of actual Asian American heroes that have been a big part of the history, but no one knows about. Paul is the new voice that the Asian American community need in Hollywood.... full review
