What I liked

Love letter to Paris and to love – generously offered by outstanding talent across the board: singing, dancing, musicianship, choreography, costume design, conceptual design and direction, and of course, the original photographs projected above the show that serve as its muse.

The songs are a luscious mix of selective, very-fresh standards, or the occasional, beautiful wildcard (such as a jaw-dropping gem originally by ‘Garbage.’) And though I haven’t fully perused the program’s song list, I believe there may have been a couple of originals from the man behind this visionary show, Kelby Thwaits. (He also plays a few instruments, and sings amazingly well). But this is no star vehicle. Rather, ‘Paris’ a wonderfully collaborative ensemble piece where everyone has a moment or longer to shine.

More performances, please!

My overall impression

Fabulous cabaret with an abundance of talent, love, vision, and joy.
